The Agrifood System Transformation for Youth Employment (ASTYE) Uganda program is a transformative initiative designed to create dignified and fulfilling work opportunities primarily for financially disadvantaged young women and vulnerable groups by addressing structural barriers[1] in Uganda’s agrifood ecosystem. Aligned with Uganda’s Vision 2040, the National Development Plan and Agriculture Value Chain Development Strategy, the program contributes to national efforts toward poverty alleviation, economic growth, and food and nutrition security.
